Themeda / Brunswick, Australia / Combiparker 560 & Parklift 450

The Themeda project in Brunswick, near Melbourne, is an example of a pioneering initiative in the field of sustainable urban development that demonstrates the potential of environmentally friendly infrastructure. 13 cars are parked in an area of only 5 conventional parking spaces!

The Combiparker 560 and Parklift 450 systems are characterised by their innovative and sustainable design, which significantly reduces the environmental impact. The Combiparker 560 was ideal for this construction as it was able to drastically reduce the amount of soil excavation required compared to traditional, non-mechanical parking methods. By preserving valuable green space, the amount of concrete used could also be reduced, helping to lower carbon emissions and construction costs.

In the Themeda project, a 3-level Combiparker enabled 13 parking spaces to be realised in the space of 5 conventional parking spaces - a huge saving in terms of space and costs!

The Combiparker 560 offers a variable parking space concept with up to five parking levels, providing unrivalled flexibility with the ability to build four levels up or four levels down from the entrance level. With a standard underground car park floor height of 2.50 metres, this system maximises space savings by allowing up to four levels below ground, making it one of the most versatile parking solutions available. The Combiparker 560 can accommodate a wide range of vehicle sizes and offers up to 750 layout options. In addition, all parking bays can be equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles, further supporting sustainable initiatives.

By implementing the parking systems, the lack of parking spaces in the surrounding area and the cityscape was relieved of parked vehicles. By integrating these state-of-the-art parking systems, the project promoted a more efficient use of space, which helped to reduce traffic problems and improve access to public transport. The integration promoted a more pedestrian-friendly environment, which increased the quality of life for residents.

In collaboration with architecture firm Telha Clarke, 3P's Property Group and Concrete Construction Group, the Themeda project is an example of a comprehensive commitment to reducing carbon emissions and construction costs. It successfully fulfils the needs of environmentally conscious buyers and serves as a model for the integration of innovative design and environmental responsibility.
